The achievement subject exploits itself
Han's claim that a society organized around can rather than must produces exhaustion without any coercion.
The disciplinary society of prohibition has given way to an achievement society of unlimited possibility. Its subject is not forbidden anything and therefore has no one to resist; it exploits itself voluntarily, and calls the result freedom until it burns out.
