Interpretation
Neil Postman (1931–2003) taught media ecology at New York University and wrote about television, schooling, and what he called Technopoly — a culture that has stopped asking what a technology is for because it has no vocabulary left outside the technology's own. His question, "what is the problem to which this is the solution?", is the plainest version of several questions here.
